Morning Sounds Farm

Isabella went on her first school trip and I was lucky enough to be able to come along as a volunteer.
The weather was perfect and the trip was probably one of the better farm trips I have been on.  Morning Sound Farm is a family run farm.  Mr and Mrs Farmer and their six children run the farm and host tours for school groups and families.

Michelle and Isabella were trip buddies.

Bus Buddies

Our message for the day.

The bunnies were Isabella's favourite.

The cows were huge and came right up to us.

Blizzard and Lighting

Baby Lambs

Baby chicks.  The kids were allowed to pick them up and I wondered how many survived the day.

Really we went to see the bunnies a dozen times.

Picnic lunch.

Sand box and playground after lunch.

Top of the pecking order.

Mr Farmer milks the goat and explains that his family drinks goat milk.  Also sprays the front row.

Isabella watching very carefully to the milking.

Playing with her piece of wool from the sheep

Mrs Farmer showing us how to feed the chickens.  We all got a turn to feed them.

Mrs Farmer says they collect about 3 dozen eggs a day from their chickens.

Mrs Farmer explaining how the get all the cows into the barn to be checked and number.

The kids walk through the cow tunnel

Here comes the Isabella cow.

Baby cow just one week old.

Picking up the chicks.  I think this was the next thing to the bunnies. We had a great day and plan to go back again with our own family to meet Mr and Mrs Farmer and all their farm friends.
