Teddy Bear Picnic

This past weekend we attend our first ever Teddy Bear Picnic.  The weather was crazy raining, windy and just plain grey but we still had lots of fun and can't wait to go back next year.  The Teddy Bear picnic allows kids to bring their favourite bear or stuffy to get a healthy check up and provides parents with lots of info on keeping your kids happy and healthy.  Joseph was funny we assumed that he would bring Tunnels because Tunnels is his favourite stuffy but my little, I like to follow the rules, guy just couldn't wrap his head around bringing a "Dog" to the "Bear" picnic. Tunnels was smuggled in and after Joseph realized that lots of kids had different kinds of stuffies (is that a word) he let him get a check up too.

Isabella was thrilled because we ran into another kid with the same bear as her funny enough his name was Dixon too.

Madeline brought lucky a new bear from Gamma but after he had several shots, lots of medicine and came home with a cast on both arms we think a name change might be in order.

Everyone in their rain gear before we head out.

Isabella is holding her bear up to the ex-ray machine.

Madeline examines "lucky" at he gets a band aid after his booster shot.

Joseph holds up Desmond after he gets his cast.

Isabella patiently waits as Dixon gets his cast.

Lucky getting his very small cast put on.

Madeline is not quite sure what to make of the cast.

Time for second breakfast!

Pancakes

and more pancakes

Lucky even got a little hat.

Checking out the bubble blower in one of the tents.

Dixon after a trip to the dentist.

The little bear bike helmet was too big for lucky he is going to use it as a boat.

Desmond is all ready to go biking complete with helmet and orange vest.

Dixon too.

Once again lucky is a little too small for the safety gear.

Super cute photo opp. The sun hats are from the safe sun tent.

Listing to a story.

Daddy and the crew.

Lucky on the operating table.

Madeline saw this carrot guy ran right over and gave him a high five. Then when he got down on the ground for a hug she ran away crying.

We take a break at the CityTV and make some bear masks.

Bear masks need lots of glue.

Everyone in their bear ears.

Madeline giving us her best bear roar.
