I love the Christmas parade but unfortunately with Daddy being a big shot it often means I am at the parade by myself with three kids which isn't always a blast when you have to wrestle through a crowd to get a good spot so the little ones can see and then you have to stand in the cold for hours and hope nobody gets frost bite or has to go to the bathroom. This year super awesome Daddy got us into the Manitoba Hydro pre-parade party (Manitoba is the parade sponsor). First there was caroling in the lobby with sugar cookies the size of your head covered in icing and sprinkles, then we moved upstairs where there was crafts, video games, movies, hot dogs and popcorn for the kids. A string quartet, an open bar and dinner for the adults. It was awesome! We were then escorted outside to our reserved bleacher seating right out front the building. It was awesome. Being married to the
King of Kensington is alright!

Check out that cookie!

After a solid block of time at the craft table (which by the way had scratch and sniff Christmas stickers) we decided that our cookie energy was running low and headed off to the movie room for some more refreshments.

I don't even remember what the movie was but it kept them quiet enough for me to have two glasses of wine.

Ready to head out.

Found a good spot on the bleachers.

Forget the bleachers! We can stand right on the railing.
Here is a little clip of our first Winnipeg Parade.
